Club Activities

The highlight of our recent activities was the club's 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner, held on 27 November.

Ambulance Station for Bundanoon?

At the dinner, club president Les, announced that the club is to spearhead a quest to obtain a long-awaited ambulance station to serve Bundanoon and southern villages.

First step is a public meeting, to be held during January, on a date yet to be announced.

The news attracted almost half a page of coverage in the local press, and much more coverage is anticipated.

Pre-Christmas Events

Senior's Lunch

Sunday, December 12 heralded the start of a very busy fortnight, with the annual Seniors' Lunch held at, and in conjunction with, the Bundanoon Club. Father Christmas kept the guest entertained (I'm told he looked suspiciously like former Lion, Trevor Fenton - Ed) and all had an enjoyable time, judging from the handful of thank-you letters received.

Rosnel Barbecue

Once again, supported by The Good Yarn, we provided a Christmas barbecue for the residents of Rosnel Special Care hostel on Friday, December 17. Some 80 meals were served and many residents returned for seconds before enjoying the music and dancing. Our thanks to The Good Yarn for their financial support for this popular event.

Christmas Raffle

As in 2009, the club's Christmas Raffle was a huge success and raised more than $500 for community activities.
